Hand Crafted Shea Butter- The Origin.

Have you ever questioned the origin and the process of how Shea Butter is made?  Well, think no further.  Shea Butter is an end product of fat extracted from the nuts of  Shea trees.  The tree is native to West Africa, Ghana included.  The texture of shea butter is solid at  warm temperatures.  At extreme hot temperatures it can gradually melt.  It has an original color of off white or ivory.  There is a second color of yellow, which is derived from a mixture of a yellow spice or herb.

Shea butter is processed with love.  A group of community women come together in harmony to produce Shea butter. They sing, they chat while in the process. The process is very exhausting and it requires hard labor from the women for their daily source of income.  Shea butter has lots of healthy benefits pertaining to all types of skin.
